Women of the Word: Sermon on the Mount

The Sermon on the Mount is the most complete description anywhere in the New Testament of what it means to live a distinctively Christian life. It is the greatest sermon ever preached because it is Jesus' own words, and it describes what he wants his followers to be and to do. We’ll encounter topics like how to really love your enemy, how to stop worrying , how to pray and much more!

The Sermon on the Mount is found in the Gospel of Matthew, and we will study it verse by verse to help us understand what it meant to the people at the time it was written and then what it means for Christians today!

Our class will include LIVE teaching from a team of our own Alderwood women as well as small group discussion time, and light homework to help you dig into the Scriptures on your own! We hope you will join us for this weekly study.
